At Banana Moon it is our mantra to continue to take responsibility, protect our children, protect our team and reassure parents. We remain determined as ever to ensure that all our children benefit from the learning experience they deserve and they and the team are safe at all times. The team at Banana Moon are excellent in sharing my ambition of continuing to provide as good a service to your children as possible in difficult times. I would like to thank our wonderful parents once again for all of their support during this time.
This month we have lots to look forward to as the Christmas season is upon us. This December our Teenies moons will continue to engage in a wide variety of Christmas art and craft activities in preparation for our Christmas party. The children will be encouraged to make Christmas decorations to brighten up their room and to take home. The children will have the opportunity to decorate ginger bread men and bake delicious cookies of their very own! The staff in the room will be transforming the home-corner area into ‘Santa’s Grotto’ to keep Christmas spirits high.
Our Full Moons have decided to set up their construction area into Winter Wonderland, their role play area in to a Christmas Café and the writing station as a post office where the children will be practicing their writing skills by writing letters to Santa, creating Christmas cards, labels, wrap present and deliver presents taking of the role as ‘Santa’s little helpers’.
We are glad to announce that our Christmas party will be held on Wednesday 16th December. Unfortunately, parents will not be able to attend to ensure we are adhering to the nursery policy that has been put in place in regards to COVID-19.
Sadly, Santa Clause will not be joining us this year. The children will still receive presents that they will be able to take home and open with their families. Ricardo, our chef will prepare a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings for the children to indulge in. Staff will take photos to capture this special moment which will be shared with you on Blossom.
This year Christmas jumper day is on Friday 11th December! We are encouraging all staff and children to wear their Christmas jumpers, or even better their Christmas pajamas. 😊
